Sport Lead Climbing Clinic October 19-20

  • Cost: $150/participant, pay on the first day of the clinic with cash, check, or card. 
  • Skills that will be covered: Sport Lead Climbing, Lead Belaying, Setting/Cleaning Anchors, and Rappelling.

  • Forms: you will need to complete a liability waiver and voluntary health disclosure form, which can be downloaded at the bottom of our registration page (print and bring with or email ahead of time). 
  • Location/Duration: The clinic will be held at Fisk State Park, also known as the McLellan climbing area (a WA State Discovery Pass is required for parking). We will meet at the Tin Cup Café (address: 10013 W Charles Rd, Nine Mile Falls, WA 99026), at 8:30 a.m. both days. The clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. 
  • Prerequisites/Participation: Capable of climbing 5.9 in a gym on top rope (V2/V3 bouldering), and experience with top rope belaying. This clinic will be capped at 8 participants. Two AMGA SPI Certified guides will host the clinic. Guide to client ratio: 4-1. 
  • Equipment: You will need to bring a climbing harness, helmet, and shoes (if you don't have these items and would like to rent them, just let us know, $10 per item). All other equipment will be provided at no extra charge. You should bring a lunch/snacks, at least 3 liters of water, and a notebook. Closed toed shoes and long-non-restrictive pants are recommended.
